Overview
Spire Leeds Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse with clinical knowledge and understanding of Surgical Wards. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Band 5/6 Nurse to take a step up and be fully supported and developed. Spire Leeds Hospital, located in Roundhay, Leeds, has been treating patients for almost 30 years. We are the region’s largest private hospital in terms of the range of services we offer and the number of consultants we work with. Duties and responsibilities To lead the team and deputise the Ward Manager You will use a philosophy of care endorsed within the hospital which will be underpinned by policy, procedures, protocols, business strategies and imperatives You will also provide clinical leadership of the highest calibre to ensure the highest standards of nursing care are consistently provided to all You will also develop a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety, security and infection control You will lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practices and plan, allocate, assess and provide feedback to team members You will be required to work day shifts predominantly, but ideally have the flexibility to work nights should the need arise Opportunity to attend internal and external courses for professional development. Who we're looking for The successful candidate will have current NMC registration, good management experience or experience of taking charge in a similar role, with proven ability to lead a team and develop nursing services. With excellent organisational and communication skills you will manage a complex service whilst ensuring a gold standard of care for all patients throughout their stay. You will have completed or working towards mentorship equivalent.
