Overview

Job Description Killearn Primary School Nursery are seeking a Support Worker Early Childhood Educator to support the early education and care of young children within the context of the family and wider community. The successful candidate will work as a member of our team to support the development of a high quality, integrated early childhood service for children and families. You must hold or be working towards a recognised qualification (minimum SCQF Level 6) that enables you to register as a Support Worker (in a day care of children service) with the SSSC at the start of your employment. Alternatively, you should be able to evidence that you have applied for a relevant course. You will be SSSC registered, as a Support Worker, prior to appointment or register within 6 months of the date of your appointment. You must also maintain your registration throughout the period of employment. Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience of working with young children, be keen to pursue own professional/personal development and have good communication and interpersonal skills. This is a full time post, the applicant must be able to work between Monday-Friday 11.30am until 6.00pm. The successful candidate must be able to take up this post on 17th August 2020. Requirements The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children.
