Overview
Maintenance Engineer, Electrical, Bedford, £42,000 - £45,000, Shifts Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer required to join a food manufacturer and packaging company based in Bedford. The Maintenance Engineer will join an established engineering team in the efficient and effective maintenance and repair of site assets. The role has a strong focus on driving efficiencies, minimizing downtime and working to enhance the plant through continuous improvement. As the Maintenance Engineer you will be electrically biased and be responsible for: Carrying out planned maintenance & reactive maintenance on production line machinery Attending to breakdowns (reactive maintenance) Working to a Planned preventative Maintenance (PPM's) schedule Actively be involved in continuous improvement projects on site. You will also be responsible for pro-actively engaging with production teams and other maintenance engineers to assist in supporting the agreed production plan The successful Maintenance Engineer will ideally have experience within with a Food, Packaging, FMCG or Manufacturing environment. You will have a completed apprenticeship or hold other industry recognised qualifications such as: NVQ, HNC, HND, BTEC and City & Guilds.
