My client is a growing Nottinghamshire-based company with a global reputation in the development and implementation of Near Field Communications (NFC), Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and IoT applications. NFC and BLE are short range wireless communications technologies used in many consumer devices such as mobile phones, wearables and domestic appliances. Near Field Solutions is at the forefront of the development of these new technologies, listing some of the world’s most influential companies amongst its clients. As a result due to continued growth we are looking to recruit an engineer to join a small multi-disciplinary team undertaking development work on a wide range of platforms. With the company at an exciting stage in its development, this is a great opportunity for an electronics engineer seeking a varied role covering a wide range of responsibilities and projects. The role is suited to an individual with the drive to adapt effectively to new development environments and keen to gain new skills in a fast-changing area of technology. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of some of the following: Digital electronics design Analogue electronics design Microcontroller based systems design (typically AVR and ARM) PCB design (Diptrace) The following skills would be an advantage but are not essential RF systems including antenna design.
