About the role; The Finance role is an essential puzzle piece to the smooth running of Chevron. You will report to and support the Financial Controller and will also work closely with the wider Finance team, Operations and the estimating team. Within the role you will undertake many financial administration tasks. These will include assisting the finance team with; Processing payments to include set-up of suppliers, purchase invoicing coding Inputting Purchase orders and checking open Purchase orders Creating sales invoices/applications across the Chevron TM based on the contract type and chasing outstanding payments due Payroll administration, including new starters/leavers Management accounts production including assisting with journals Excel analysis Preparing and dispatching standardized letters and e-mails as directed to the required standards and timescales Maintaining a confidential (manual and electronic) filing system to ensure that accurate up to date information is available to the Finance department Using numerous systems including: Access Financials suite, Outlook, Excel and Word About you; A driven and highly motivated individual with a sound understanding of the Finance role. With a passion to start a long-term career in Finance, you will be an excellent communicator, both in verbal and written form and happy to work independently as well as part of a team. You will have a good understanding of Microsoft Office and a keen attention to detail. Possessing a naturally inquisitive mind, you will be resilient and tenacious in ensuring your capability to deal with issues efficiently when raised. Additionally, and most importantly you must be extremely trustworthy with great integrity and professionalism – a sense of humour helps A willingness to learn and aspiration to be the best that you can be Qualifications; GCSE’s Grade C or above in Maths & English. 2 A Levels or equivalent Relevant experience and/or qualifications.
