Neighbourhood Services Officer

Can you commit to a minimum of 1 month, possibly longer? This is a temporary position starting ASAP, working Monday to Thursday from 08.30 to 17.00 and Friday from 08.30 to 16.30. Your role will involve carrying out regular checks to maintain a safe and clean environment in the buildings/surrounding areas. Your main responsibilities will include; Promoting good neighbourhood relations amongst residents Providing a first response to any complaints Maintaining a professional network and relationship with key partners Attending meetings and liaising with different departments Working directly with residents Dealing with anti-social behaviour and reporting it following the correct procedures Undertaking health and safety checks to ensure compliance Maintaining all records in line with compliance Advising new residents on specific matters relating to them Undertaking patrol activities Other duties as required Skills and attributes; Experience of working within housing is desirable Excellent communication skills Ability to maintain accurate records Good computer skills, including MS Office and databases Outstanding customer service There will be times when you will have to deal with difficult of challenging situations; therefore experience of conflict resolution is essential Very flexible attitude Must have a full driving license You will be required to have an enhanced DBS It is possible that you will be required to work very occasional evenings and weekends, you will also be required to have a reasonable level of fitness for this role as there will be a lot of standing and lifting.
