Warehouse Operator Department - Production Operations Reporting to Warehouse Manager Temporary - 6 Months Hatfield, Herts Shifts: Rotating 7am to 3pm & 10am to 6pm Our client is a multi-cultural, healthcare, global company and seeking an experienced Warehouse Operator to join their production operations team. In conjunction with the Warehouse Manager contribute to the operational and strategic management of Warehouse Operations and the continuous improvement of Warehouse Operations in its role in the performance of the EML. This role has the responsibility to establish and maintain appropriate procedures and systems, for routine operation of all Warehouse activities. General Responsibilities To ensure that operations conducted are performed in accordance with the requirements of our clients Corporate Standards, Quality System, GMP and GDP Guidelines and Industry Standards. Duties are performed to ensure: A safe working environment is maintained for self and other employees, ensuring all near miss incidents and accidents are reported in accordance with procedures. The Quality of products manufactured and released is assured through adherence to all procedures. Opportunities to improve operations and reduce cost are identified and progressed through the continuous improvement and demand innovation initiatives. All stakeholder and customer expectations are understood and met through communication. Performance is in line with personal and client objectives with demonstrated behaviours and competencies. Job Specific Responsibilities To comply with Health and Safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices in Warehouse areas. Write, review and update systems and Standard Operating Procedures. Identify, write and execute Test scripts for improvements on the SAP system. Participate in quality investigations. Responsible for receipt booking in and locating materials into the warehouse management system. Responsible for sampling of raw materials, API and bulk product. Responsible for packing and shipping of finished product to the customer. Manage material movements to and from the manufacturing and packaging facility. Perform frequent stock checks on all Storage Types to maintain accurate stock information on SAP system. Assist in the maintenance of the warehouse management system on SAP. Responsible for the management of pharmaceutical waste area. Responsible for the management and control of rejected material. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that result in cost savings and more efficient and compliant ways of working Identifies quality related trends and facilitates implementation of corrective actions. Participates in internal, customer and regulatory audits Liaise with all other departments within EML to ensure business requirements are being met. Support the Warehouse Manager in the development of long term plans for the Warehouse function. Responsible for the effective training of others in systems and procedures. Actively promote safety awareness and improvements. Prepared to take on roles of First Aider, Safety Rep and Fire Warden. Participate in various maintenance activities within the Warehouse. Responsible for creating deliveries on SAP. Responsible for the preparation of relevant shipping documentation, liaising and booking hauliers. Person Specification GCSE grade C or above in Mathematics, English and a Science Experience working in a supply chain logistics or manufacturing environment Clean driving licence; qualified to operate fork-lift vehicles Computer literate, able to use windows office; SAP experience preferred Able to organise and lead a team safely Flexible and willing to be deployed in associated manufacturing areas at EML Expected to work shifts Experience of GxP regulatory compliance an advantage Problem solving and decision-making capabilities Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communication links within EML and affiliated organisations Competencies Focused on Safety, Quality, Customer and Cost; high attention to detail Performance driven, able to deliver results on-time Able to motivate and inspire a team Confident verbal and written communicator, able to train and impart knowledge effectively Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines Self-motivating, enthusiastic with a can-do attitude Good understanding of risk; the ability to foresee and prevent an accident, quality error or delay If you are interested and feel that you have the right skills then please apply to this role.
