Due to growth within the company they are seeking a skilled and experience Shift Technician (Electrical biased) to join their friendly and professional team based in Doncaster. THE ROLE: As an Electrical biased Shift Technician you role will to - To ensure production equipment is operating efficiently and company facilities are maintained to company standards - To ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on gearboxes, motors, inverter drives PLCs, pneumatic tools, conveyer systems and production machines, following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer’s instructions and engineering specifications - Locates the source of problems by observing mechanical and electrical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing equipment - Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hand and power tools, cranes and hoists - Controls downtime by informing production managers and workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques - Maintains equipment parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level anticipating the need for replacement equipment, parts, supplies, by contacting suppliers and placing orders and verifying receipt - Carry out project work ensuring tight deadlines are met - Prepare mechanical and electrical maintenance reports - Maintain technical knowledge by attending relevant courses and reviewing publications Due to the rotating shift pattern you will need to be flexible, this covers days and nights with days off in between, the full rota will be given at the beginning stages of interview.
