CAR-T, T-cell, biology, science, scientist, research, drug, protein, cell, GMP, Process development, job My client is an emerging London based biotech that are working on the latest generation of T-cell based therapeutics to combat a portfolio of hard to tackle and rare diseases. They are looking for an accomplished scientist to lead the process development and scale up of a programme of CAR T-cell biotherapeutics. The Role Lead a small team of scientists to develop platform processes for cell-based product manufacture (both in-house and external vendors) to enable T-cell therapy delivery from clinical development through to commercialisation. Work in a multi-disciplinary team, considering impact of process changes on other areas Serve as a key link between Preclinical R&D and Process development Manage timelines to achieve project milestones Manage an initial team of 4-5 direct reports with a view to expand Coordinate efforts among internal groups and external academic collaborators Required Skills Extensive hands-on experience in cell process development, with exposure to T-cell or TCR based therapies highly regarded Theoretical and practical knowledge of typical manufacturing processes and analytical methods Understanding of risk-based approaches to process development and scale-up Exposure to GMP requirements Experience with line management would be highly regarded.
