Job Title Unix Administrator Job Summary/Intro: Join a Global Investment Bank during a period of investment and growth. Main Job Details: [Unix, Red Hat, Solaris, Satellite, Ansible, Nutanix, Vmware, Bash, Shell, Scripting] Our client is adding one headcount to their existing Unix team as they further invest in the business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a global Bank during a period of real growth. The successful candidate will be required to: Provide Unix System Administration and Support for all Unix environments across all of the bank's international offices Plan and complete UNIX related projects and tasks as assigned by management Perform Installation, configuration, upgrades and maintenance of UNIX operating system instances including the related application elements Perform Installation, configuration, upgrades and maintenance of 3rd party software used within the UNIX environment Produce and maintain documented operational procedures and diagrams for all UNIX environments and in-scope supported applications Provide support for developers and business users requests and queries Conduct performance monitoring / tuning, capacity monitoring / planning Perform security administration Implement, monitor, troubleshoot backups/restores Produce scripts to perform and automate regular administration and housekeeping tasks Liaise with vendors, suppliers, business users, development and application support as required Ensure that in the event of an incident downtime is kept to a minimum Perform and assist with the recovery of systems and applications during DR invocation and test scenarios.
