Your new role Working from our London office, you will be joining Avaloq at a time of growth as we continue to expand in the UK. As the lead Avaloq Test Manager on major Avaloq implementation projects, you will have responsibility for shaping, planning and delivering Avaloq testing for our clients. You will also be expected to contribute to building out the testing capability with our internal colleagues in the Global Delivery organisation. As a key member of the client programme team and the senior Delivery team in the UK, you will utilise your experience to contribute to the ongoing success of the business. What you will be doing Shape plan and deliver a testing strategy aligned to the client requirements to quality assure the implemented product for the client Proactively manage client expectations regarding testing Define test strategy, test plan & test approach (both functional and technical) Define approach to automated test tools usage Work closely with project managers, development teams and other stakeholders to manage risks and issues Provide effort estimations and track the test efforts to ensure adequate staffing Monitor and control testing activities against planned budget and quality gates Coordinate testing activities with client Test Managers on a daily/weekly basis as required Ensure the appropriate KPIs are being tracked Perform adequate triage, defect management and reporting Present regular progress reporting to management and clients Document and evaluate the testing results, investigate testing deficiencies Manage the client expectations and support their test efforts Design, update and execute functional and e2e business test scenarios and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring their reusability Provide support to clients for managing & tracking acceptance testing Assist clients to design their testing for acceptance of the system Manage the dependencies that we have on the client to advance Avaloq progress Analyse and document business acceptance criteria, in close collaboration with clients and other stakeholders Define technical operational testing Design and plan execution of technical, stress and performances testing Manage the test environment Manage test environments - installation, baseline definition and maintenance assessment on environment readiness Manage tools for test execution / performance, tracking defects, statistics and requirements coverage reporting Input into testing continuous improvement activities in Avaloq Contribute to continuous improvement of test management processes and procedures What we are looking for Industry In-depth knowledge of test concepts and methodology, with extensive experience in the banking/finance industry Knowledge of payment schemes and processing (e.g. Swift, SIC - SIX, SEPA) Testing Capability Good working knowledge of MicroFocus QC/ALM Working knowledge of Atlassian tool suite e.g. JIRA, Confluence ISTQB Certification or equivalent Experience of testing in both Agile context: Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, TDD, BDD, API testing; and also as part of large implementations, where a waterfall methodology is used.
