Sewing Machinist

Rotherwood Recruitment are working in partnership with a well established manufacturing company based in Blackburn. Due to expansion they are now looking for a number of sewing machinists to join their manufacturing team. Duties will include but not be limited to: Able to work alone and part as a team. Sewing products using flatbed and overlock Packing and quality control of finished products Working from written and verbal instruction Making different orthopaedic equipment wear for all body parts, work with a high standard for the NHS and other businesses. Good attention to detail and numeracy skills, to work with drawing and follow specification of measurements. Experience: Must have at least 2 years experience in a similar role Flatbed and overlocking experience Working hours: Working hours: Monday to Thursday 7.45am till 4.15pm Friday 7.45am till 12.45pm Complimentary toast and hot drinks during the morning Due to the location of the company public transport can be an issue to get to the company at the desired start time. An interview and sewing examination will be required prior to start date. This position will become permanent for the right candidate after completion of the probation period.
