Overview
My client, a leading SaaS solution provider in the trading and brokerage market, is looking to bring on a SDET's to work on the build out of their messaging platform. The business are currently heavily investing in their innovative product offering, one example being the messaging platform. The global business is around 500 strong and this role sits in their newly formed EMEA headquarters near St Pauls. The Testers will sit in small, elite, spotify style teams ensuring the seamless delivery of the messaging platform focusing on Selenium Web Driver and Java/ Open Source technologies. Working with cutting edge technology in a collaborative environment, the testing piece is integral to the formation of the overall product, focusing on scalability, automation and solution development. This position suits someone with a Java background and lots of automation testing of SaaS products/ cloud distributed tools Role: Define and automate test cases that verify product requirements Write code to support development of automated frameworks and tests Execute test cases using both automated and manual techniques Identify, report and verify software defects Maintain test infrastructure and tools Participate in team planning and story grooming Conduct code reviews, improve and maintain quality of the automation code Document the automation framework, tools and infrastructure Technical Skills Requirements: Minimum 3 years of test development experience Strong understanding of the Java language Experience with Junit Experience with backend systems or APIs Experience with testing practices in an agile environment Experience with any of the following is an asset: Web services technology such as REST, JSON or Thrift Network principles and protocols such as HTTP, TLS and TCP Continuous integration systems such as Jenkins or Bamboo Performance testing with JMeter or similar tools Big data technology such as Hadoop, MongoDB, Kafka or SQL Working in a Linux environment Multi-threaded programming Design patterns This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89963213
