Overview

We do something special, be a part of it and get £500 Because we want you to get off to the best start with us, we are giving you £250 when you first start with us, and then when you are settled in in 6 months’ time we will give you another £250 for your hard work. We are a small and nurturing home in Wisbech that cares for four young people between the ages of 8 - 18 with emotional and behavioural needs. Our young people are supported at the home and in the community and are encouraged to undertake various activities and hobbies to increase their confidence and sense of belonging. We have a lovely home that supports independence and self-care skills so the young people can be independent in the future. We are currently rated as Good with Ofsted but hope to improve on this further. Everyone that visits talks about how homely and child focused the home is. This role involves: Day to day care for our young people, ensuring their needs are being met and that they feel cared for and valued The expectation around maintaining the ethos and boundaries of the home are to a high standard Demonstrating forward thinking, planning and maintaining the systems already in place Striving to give our young people as many new experiences as possible and to provide them with the right tools to break the cycle of negative behaviour Aiming to give the young people different coping strategies via positive role modelling and rewards for positive behaviour. It is an essential requirement for this role that the successful candidate has a current valid driving license As a Support Worker at our home in Wisbech, you can expect to work a 15 hour shift including sleep ins per month. The sleep in rate is £35 per shift.
