Enable Futures are operating as an employment business on behalf of its client and recruiting for a permanent Software Sales Engineer in Weston Super Mare, Somerset . You will join a global market leader in IT / Software Applications and report directly into the VP Sales in the USA. The working hours are normally 9.00am - 5.00pm however if you’re able to work varied hours at times to make contact with the USA this would be beneficial. The annual salary is £30,000 - £45,000PA dependant on experience (unsociable working hours if agreeable will come with a salary increase). Closing date is 30 th April 2020 As the Sales Engineer, you will serve the integral role of demonstrating the value of the companies Platform to new business sales prospects and making technical recommendations to solve their service management challenges. You will also be involved in account expansion opportunities as needed with our existing customer base. As Sales Engineer, you’ll work in lockstep with members of our Solutions Consultants to understand the technical needs, functional requirements and organizational pain-points of sales prospects. You will use this information to build, pre-configure and perform product demonstration sessions to illustrate the value of our product and ease the fears of the prospective buyer. You will then help make further recommendations back to the sales team on the most effective strategies to win the business. The Sales Engineer will serve as an expert on all products and services and a go-to consultant for individuals from our sales team and for the organizations to which they’re selling. In order to succeed in the role, you’ll need to be an effective communicator, an empathetic listener and both tech and business-savvy enough to speak to feature configuration and ROI in the same sentence. You’ll need to know when and how to tailor your communication to audiences with varied levels of technical knowledge, from strategic-minded business executives on down to hands-on service desk technicians. Key Responsibilities: Understand the technical, functional and business needs of sales prospects. Consult sales prospects on best practices and how our product might solve their service management challenges. Demonstrate product in engaging live and recorded demo sessions. Pre-configure product demonstration environments based on technical requirements and demo session goals. Set up and maintain multiple trial platforms for various prospects. Provide in-depth expertise on products and services to both sales team members and sales prospects. Support four sales executives in North America and the UK. Collaborate with sales team on best strategies to demonstrate the value of the Platform and ultimately win the business. Help create technical collateral to support the sales process. Be liaison between prospects and the company during software pre-sale trial period. Provide the team with feedback on customer needs and trends based on demo and trial discussions with prospects. Experience, attributes & skills sought: Effective, engaging communicator. Empathetic and present listener via web platforms. Demonstrated mastery in the demonstration of a technology. BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience. Organized with the ability to manage a schedule. Creative and willing to think outside of the norm. Strong initiative and self-starter. Understanding of various sales platforms: CRM, Microsoft Suite, etc. Desirable: Master’s degree in Computer Science or other technical field. Demonstrated experience with ITSM, service desk or other ticketing tools. Prior experience in a sales engineering role.
