Overview
Central Bristol - Fin-tech Scale-up Have you previously helped a start-up business create a product strategy and roadmap for their digital platforms? Are you up for the challenge of helping scale up a product-focused organisation? We're working with a fintech scale-up based in the heart of Bristol who are looking for a Senior Product Owner/Manager to create structure, develop and deliver brand new products to market. They have 21 in the company but have plans to double in size in the next 12 months and they've just piloted in the US. What would your first 6 months look like? They're in the process and have plans to deliver 2 major projects that they are pushing to get out in this time. You'll be expected to pick up these projects almost immediately all whilst building, mentoring and supporting the more Junior Product Owner. You'll also be expected to come in and create a structure which will, in turn, allow them to scale their team. This is an amazing opportunity where you'll be crafting the full processes that will allow them to get to this next level. Day to day? There will be the expectation of managing your own sprints and working against tight deadlines, you'll be getting involved in UX design and understanding the user journey for both mobile and desktop products all whilst having a deep technical understanding of software development. They're looking for someone who can also be comfortable in all aspects of owning the product backlog and not be afraid to roll your sleeves up and get involved in other aspects of the business (which might be a little out your comfort zone). Bonus points if you.… Have been a part of a start-up culture, better yet - within fintech. Experienced in defining and implementing continuous process improvement. Technical background. Help build up strong, happy and effective cross-functional teams. Build up a Product community within the business. Mentored junior members of the product team.
