Overview
The role The EUC Architect role provides strategic foresight and long-term development planning for future technology impact to the business. Serves primary role of designing and leading the implementation of a global technical architecture based on business requirements and information technology strategies. Assumes lead role in carrying out strategic initiatives focused on designing, planning, and developing technological directives and implementation recommendations. Activities involve extensive coordination of technology research and validations. This role will need to bridge architecture and engineering, mapping department/business goals specific efforts in order to achieve future state architecture. In partnership with the Network and Platform teams, this role will set architecture and engineering direction for complex enterprise-wide solutions that are repeatable, secure and supportable. Key accountabilities Provides key technical leadership through design and implementation oversight to ensure alignment with strategic direction and best practices. Leads architectural and engineering discussions for technical, business and management audiences. Performs resolution of complex hardware, environmental software operating systems and subsystems. Evaluates, recommends and selects new software/hardware. Performs change management using standard tools. Ensures conformance and compliance with existing system standards. Measures performance to ensure proper operation. Leads highly technical/complex projects utilizing EUC staff and resources. Trains System technical staff on use of software/hardware tools in accordance with required standards and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. Skills & experience Extensive experience providing technical delivery of large projects working with stakeholders from business, development and infrastructure teams Extensive experience with Microsoft technologies including Windows 7, Windows 10 and O365 Extensive experience with infrastructure technologies including virtualization, storage, and networking Extensive expreince working with various virtualization technologies including Citrix, Hyper-V and VMware and Nutanix Demonstration of thorough understanding of how discrete infrastructure components work together to provide reliable and secure hosting environment ITIL Certification or experience working in an ITIL environment preferred Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience Works under direction and guidance in planning details of procedures and methods to attain definite objectives Experience working in an acquisition minded environment with the ability to scale technologies, people and process Experience working with Cloud technologies including Citrix Cloud and Azure
