New opportunity not to be missed Optima Health and Social Care Ltd is looking for 3 people to join our team based in Runcorn . You will join us as a Community Support Worker on a part or full-time basis working alongside our Care Coordinators and Nurse Trainer Practitioners. In return, you will receive a competitive hourly rate of £8.50 - £10.00 per hour (after successful training and probation) and dependent upon service user’s needs. Hours: As we support our service users 24/7 we need people who can work a mixture of Earlies, Lates and Nights weekday and weekends. Optima Health and Social Care Ltd is a well-established Specialist Care Provider. We provide support services to children, young people, and adults with complex health needs. We are not a Domiciliary Care Agency. All our employees have fixed hours contacts and we do not operate a ‘patch’ or ‘run’ system. We provide mainly large packages of support and recruit specifically for each Service User Support Package. All rotas are planned at least one month in advance and we are moving to a ‘rolling rota’ system in the new year. This means you will know from one month to the next what your standard work pattern will be. The Community Support Worker role: The role will primarily involve providing personal and intimate support and care to people who often have life limiting conditions, multi-sensory impairments and complex health needs. You will be assigned primarily to 1 or 2 service users. Their families are involved in their lives on a day to day basis. This may involve supporting at home, on activities or even into school/college each day. Because of the nature of our work and the needs for the service users we ask for a minimum commitment of 24 months post training. What makes you our ideal Community Support Worker? - A real desire to support people in a positive and effective manner. - Experience in supporting people with additional needs - Experience of managing complex children’s care - Experience working within community services – maybe elderly care, Nursery services or children’s services. - Willingness to learn new ‘clinical skills.’ - Treat people with dignity and in a friendly way.
