Overview

Assistant Principal - Maths TimePlan Education are recruiting for an Assistant Principal on behalf of a school in West London. The Assistant Principal role is a permanent post to start in April 2020 or sooner. Due to the requirements and staffing structure at the school, the role requires someone with a maths specialism and background. The school caters for 120 pupils and offers a range of vocational and work based opportunities. Due to the needs and nature of the students, the timetable runs differently to other mainstream school settings. Students are in lessons for 5 weeks, which is then followed by a week of work experience. The role itself will be to lead the maths provision across the school. If you have a background in a maths, then your application will be highly desirable. You will be required to teach, with a small timetable of 3 or 4 lessons per week. A key focus of the role will be to provide strategic insight into raising standards of teaching and learning and what pastoral support is needed for the students. You will be working closely with another Assistant Principal and you will report directly into the Principal. The school has learning, development and achievement at the heart of how it works. However, the diverse needs of the students mean that staff need to be flexible and adaptable, this needs to reflect in the teaching and learning experience. You will need to work closely with you're the students, your staff, parents, carers and outside organisations in order to provide the holistic approach that is needed.
