Overview

The Vacancy Connex Education are looking for a teacher of Engineering for a full-time, permanent position at a "good" school, located near Hazlemere, Bucks. The successful candidate will be required to teach Engineering up to Key Stage 4, with the potential to progress to Key Stage 5 as the department expands. This position is to commence in after Easter 2020. The Design Technology department is made up of experienced teachers and a knowledgeable technician. The curriculum offers Construction, Food Tech, Textiles and Rocket Science and the school benefits from a specialist Engineering workshop offering the opportunity to teach a range of qualifications in this field. There are plans to open a Hair & Beauty salon and to work with leading manufacturers and designers in fields such as motorsport technology. Experienced candidates and NQTs are welcome to apply. The Curriculum This academy offers a broad and balanced, “all ability” curriculum, with rich opportunities available in and out of the classroom and outstanding support given to students, resulting in the narrowing of attainment gaps. The academy has a varied extra-curricular programme, including a number of sports teams, lunch-time and after school clubs, Duke of Edinburgh and Young Enterprise schemes and school trips, of which there were over 50 in the last academic year, across all year groups.
