Overview
A successful technology manufacturer require a Materials Planner. Applicants need experience in production planning, supply chain or materials planning, have expertise in ERP/MRP and have the ability to analyse and optimise inventory holdings. The Materials Planner will join a large planning and inventory management team. The focus of the role is to schedule and plan the supply of materials in accordance with production schedules. Specific duties of the Materials Planner include: Production planning Inventory Management - setting of safety stocks levels, reporting and analysis Work closely with the company ERP/MRP system to optimise inventory and planning activities Review of plant and resource capacity Work with purchasing colleagues to alleviate threats to the production schedule, and material shortages Update the ERP/MRP systems with stock profiles, supply chain and NPI data Materials Planner applicants should meet the following criteria: Production Planning, Materials Planning, Supply Chain Planning or Inventory Management experience MRP/ERP literacy, and the ability to configure and improve the use of systems within the business Knowledge of inventory management techniques Excellent relationship building, and analytical skills MS Excel - Intermediate/Advanced ability Barclay Meade acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers and is part of Gattaca Plc.
