Overview
Security Engineer This Security Engineer role would be suitable for: SREs (Site Reliability Engineer) OR Security Platform Engineers Security Engineer Responsibilities: To be part of a team responsible for management and evolution of shared infrastructure which are used to facilitate software development. You will be expected to contribute towards both maintaining and evolving our Client's build, tools & infrastructure to improve the quality of their products and the efficiency of the teams. You will also be expected to promote and ensure security best practices are followed by the software development group. Responsible to the management of reporting vulnerability to senior management Essential Skills for this Security Engineer: Cloud Vulnerability Management – (ideally Cloud Health, Qualys & Prisma) Configuration and use of online collaboration & issue tracking tools (ideally Atlassian based ). ( Git / Subversion ) Security, Cost & Policy Management for AWS: EC2 & Virtualisation Software & (VMWare). OS and Application administration & maintenance automation for Windows and Linux (Ansible/Packer/Terraform) Desirable Skills for the Security Engineer: ‘Automate everything’ from application maintenance and monitoring to incident response Lateral thinking, reverse engineering, good at problem solving & decision making.
