Staff Nurse Location: Alfreton, Derbyshire Salary: £27,800 - £33,000 per annum ( up to £17.60 per hour ) - negotiable depending on your experience Bonus : £5,000 bonus paid in two instalments (£2,500 in your first month and £2,500 after 6 months) after your first year is complete you will then receive a £1,200 retention bonus paid in full or split into quarters (they can be flexible on the payment of this bonus) Overtime rates : 1.25% extra Hours: Full Time and Part Time hours are available - you can choose depending on your preference (options of: 12 hours, 24 hours or 36 hours) Shifts : Options of Days only (7.15am - 7.45pm) or Nights only (7.15pm - 7.45am) or Mixed shifts on a rotational basis - you can choose depending on your preference Further Details : An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified or experienced RMN or RNLD ( Mental Health Nurse or Learning Disability Nurse ) to work within a very positive, friendly and supportive specialist mental health rehabilitation service for women with a mental illness and/or personality disorder situated in Alfreton, Derbyshire. Service Details: This Service is a 16-bed specialist rehabilitation service for women with a mental illness and/or personality disorder. The service focuses on psychological input and provides specialist, evidence-based interventions including trauma focussed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT). There is a significant staff expertise in early life trauma and attachment disorder, helping the patient make sense of a trauma history. Their philosophy is one of empowerment and inclusion. Areas of focus include social networks and relationships, attachment difficulties, past trauma, responsibilities, work and relapse prevention. Patients are aged between 18 - 65 years. The Service is split as follows: 8 bedded locked rehab unit 8 bedded step-down unit (consisting of two bedsits and 3 shared apartments) The Team: The Hospital has a full MDT (Multidisciplinary team) comprising of a Consultant, Psychiatrist, Psychologist, OT, Social Worker, Support and Administration Staff. The aim is to work as a close team providing a holistic range of assessments and treatments. Preceptorship Programme: In the case of newly qualified nurses ( Mental Health Nurse or Learning Disability Nurse ) , the Hospital offers a fantastic preceptorship programme. They have a good number of experienced staff to support and mentor newly qualified nurses. Training / Induction and opportunities for development and progression: The Hospital offers a structured and thorough 2 week induction programme, which will include various training courses. You will also have access to clear and structured development programmes where you can see clear pathways to progression within the hospital. You will also have access to training opportunities to develop and enhance your nursing skills. You will receive ongoing support from your Manager. Staff wellbeing: The hospital has a monthly staff wellbeing budget and regularly host wellbeing events for their staff. For example, next month a massage therapist is coming into the hospital for 3 days to give massages to nurses for free. The hospital also does regular breakfast mornings, whereby the hospital director comes round with bacon / sausage butties or Krispy Kreme's for all staff. The hospital also does monthly and quarterly staff raffles - some of the recent prizes have been 'a city break for two' or '£1,500 worth of holiday vouchers'. Shifts : The hospital can accommodate part-time or full-time hours and they can be flexible with shifts. They are happy to consider fixed shift patterns and they are happy to consider nurses who prefer working days only or nights only. Their shift pattern runs from 7.15am 7.45pm for day shifts and 7.15pm - 7.45am for night shifts. Please state if you have any preferences on your hours and/or shift pattern in your application.
