Overview
Our client is a global leading insurance firm, looking for a Data Scientist to join their team based in Ipswich. They are looking for a Data Scientist from 3 years experience. The Role The primary function of the Data Scientist is to help the organisation turn their volumes of data into valuable and actionable insights. The Data Scientist is also expected to interpret and eloquently deliver the results of their findings, by visualisation techniques, building data science apps, or narrating interesting stories about the solutions to their data (business) problems. Understanding of traditional and new data analysis methods to build statistical models or discover patterns in data Expected to explore the data, come up with the right questions, and provide interesting findings Ensure that delivered solutions are meeting requirements and providing required benefit Work with stakeholders to deliver detailed business and data requirements and build Business Intelligence solutions Work closely with the business to identify issues and use data to propose solutions for effective decision making Bring insights to life with smart visualisations and context specific data storytelling and to explain outcomes, complex approaches, findings and notions to non-analytical business users. The Requirements Experience across the full stack of Microsoft data tools (Power BI, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, SSRS, Azure SQL, SQL Server, Azure Cosmos DB) Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong desire to work in cross functional teams An analytical mind-set who enjoys problem solving and turning data into useful actionable information Ability to interpret business conversations and translate into technical requirements Varied SDLC experience including Agile Scrum/Kanban.
