Assistant Merchandiser up to £35,000 Lifestyle Retailer South West Are you looking for a new role as an Assistant Merchandiser or Junior Merchandiser? If you have 6 months experience at Assistant Merchandiser level or are an experienced Assistant Merchandiser looking for a step up then this could be the role for you. Zachary Daniels are working with a lifestyle retailer who are looking to expand their talent across the merchandising area on womenswear and menswear. Working as an integral part of the merchandising team as an Assistant Merchandiser you will be working closely with the senior merchandising team and stakeholders to drive profitability for your departments. The role of an Assistant Merchandiser involves: Working closely with your merchandiser on seasonal planning for the department Formulating a departmental strategy analysing historical/current trading and lessons learnt Creating a departmental OTB framework to fulfil retail and wholesale sales potential Playing an instrumental part in range builds and buys to create the optimum product mix Working closely with peers across head office and senior stakeholders presenting in relevant meetings Undertaking volume and margin forecasts, placing orders that fulfil stock allocation Managing and updating the WSSI to forecast sales and highlight any risks or opportunities Managing/mentoring junior team members The successful Assistant Merchandiser will have gained experience in a similar role within a retailer and be ready for a new challenge. Effective communication and numerical skills are a must for any successful Assistant Merchandisers/Junior Merchandisers.
