ENGINEERING MANAGER £700- £800 per day CENTRAL LONDON 2 MONTHS As an Engineering Manager you will have the opportunity to lead a Data team in building a greenfield AWS streaming platform. THE COMPANY: As an Engineering Manager you will be working for a leading gaming company that had a huge online following. You will be situated above a team of Data Engineers in leading a greenfield build. This is a chance as an Engineering Manager to shape the build of a scalabale platform and lead a team of highly skilled engineers in an agile and fast paced environment. THE ROLE: As an Engineering Manager you must be highly skilled in building Data Platforms. You must have extensive knowledge of AWS as in your role as Engineering Manager you will be helping to design the high level solution for the build. As the Engineering Manager you must also have excellent knowledge of streaming technologies such as Kafka and Spark and Kinesis within AWS. As an Engineering Manager you must also have good working knowledge of Python as though you will have skilled Data Engineers under you, you may to work on POCs in order to test viable solutions. As an Engineering Manager you must have experience leading teams and driving best practices across engineering. In specific you can expect to be involved in the following: Guiding a data team in building a highly scalable platform Excellent knowledge of AWS Expertise in streaming technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, Spark Leading a team and guiding them in best practices Good working knowledge of Python THE SUCCESSFUL ENGINEERING MANAGER WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Previously mentored teams Implemented best practices like TDD and pair programming Worked extensively with AWS Services THE BENEFITS: This role offers a very competitive rate of up to £800 per day.
