Overview

The Head of HR will be a key member of the management team delivering business and organisational change in line with new strategic thinking. Building on 150 years of manufacturing experience, our client offers a unique combination of vast facilities and technical capability offering design, build, assembly and logistics to the marine, offshore and renewable energy sectors. As the Head of HR, you will join the senior management team who has recently embarked on a transformation under a new leadership. They have strong values and an entrepreneurial spirit; they are looking for leaders to be a part of a transformation growth story and instrumental in the development of their business transformation and people strategy. Head of HR has the following requirements: Be a strong 'business partner' to the MD and the management team and contribute to the business change strategy Establish HR priorities in close collaboration with the management team through a sound understanding of the business needs especially regarding strategic talent acquisition, organisation design, and talent strategy. Playing a pivotal role at monthly Senior Management Meetings, providing open and constructive input and ensuring Directors are kept fully abreast of HR related initiatives and issues. Ensure the business has the best talent to support fast growth by implementing efficient processes in order to attract/develop/engage/retain talent through efficient and dynamic processes. Design and lead the engagement agenda with the objective to foster commitment and entrepreneurial spirit within the organisation as a whole and proactively address any employee relations needs. Create a high-performance organisation with a strong culture to align with strategy to deliver business results. Key attributes and experience Candidates should have HR leadership experience and must be familiar with implementing business and organisational change. Ideally with a degree in a business-related topic, the Head of HR will have an all-round HR background and will have worked in Talent Management and Employee Relations. Experience gained in global, engineering / manufacturing, commercially focused organisations would be beneficial, as would experience of change management, integration and project work. What's on Offer In addition to a salary of between £70,000-£80,000, there will be a car allowance, discretionary bonus, private medical scheme and pension.
