The Job: To offer bespoke technical and business consultancy to the IFA’s and the Field Management Teams to ensure that IFA’s remain fully equipped to acquire and successfully service new and existing clients. The role will be home based, covering the region of Scotland and on occasion Northern England. The Consultant is responsible for significantly contributing to the acquisition and retention of Private Clients to Partner Businesses through client events and meetings and will contribute to team strategy to deliver corporate targets. You will require a strong working knowledge of the Investment, retirement markets and tax & trusts-based planning with client interaction being a large part of the role. Key Responsibilities: Agree and review a location specific business plan with the Head of Business to provide effective specialist technical and business consultancy to both the IFA’s and Field Management Team (FMT) so that the IFA’s can successfully acquire and service new and existing clients. For Private Client, qualifying cases provide bespoke one to one support to the IFA’s to help them engage, advise and service new and existing Private clients. Hold bespoke one to one development sessions, workshops, peer groups and present at location meetings to groups of up to 250. In association with the marketing division - Create, deploy and review insightful and engaging marketing materials that are both IFA and Client facing. Support the achievement of corporate targets. The Person: Specialist knowledge of Wealth Management solutions across the investment and retirement planning market, Strong awareness of economic, political and market factors, Strong relationship building skills, Problem solving skills and the ability to evaluate complex information, Active team player, Be a highly effective communicator with strong influencing & consultancy skills, Self-motivated and manage own time effectively. Required Technical Knowledge & Qualifications: Consultants are expected to gain and maintain internal accreditation in all areas where they will be supporting client meetings and events. Ideally the successful candidate will hold Chartered Financial Planner status or relevant equivalent e.g. TEP. Currently holding the Diploma in Financial Planning and actively working towards Chartered status is a minimum requirement. Special Requirements: The role will involve extensive travelling to help meet the Northern Area objectives and may include overnight stays in hotels to help manage travel and diary planning – Also Evening work is a feature of this role but on a controlled and agreed basis only e.g. Presenting at a Client Event The Benefits; Initial Share Allocation of 30% nil cost share option, Substantial Performance Bonus up to 56% (50% paid in cash and 50% paid in shares), Company Car, non-contributory Pension 10% of base salary rising to 12.5% then 15% following length of service Holiday entitlement 25 days rising to 30 days, Life cover / death in service 10 times base salary, Critical Illness for individual and immediate family, Medical Insurance BUPA, Additional benefits include; SAYE Share Options, Salary & Pension Contribution payable in the first 12 months of illness, Eye-Tests, Refreshments, Childcare Vouchers, Season Ticket Loans.
