Overview

Hunting has a requirement for a Store Person at our facility in Portlethen, Aberdeen. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and proactive individual to take on the position of Store Person. Role Overview: The Job Holder’s main responsibility is for the selection and processing of orders, equally the receipt delivery and dispatch of goods in an effective, safe and timely manner, in accordance with the Company’s processes and procedures. The Job Holder will also assist in general Yard and Stores maintenance and housekeeping duties as required. Ensuring work equipment and areas are clean, safe and fit for purpose. The Job Holder needs to be proactive, flexible and must prioritise work as necessary. An element of strenuous labour is anticipated. Using a Forklift, Pallet Trucks and external deliveries by use of a Company Vehicle should be anticipated as part of the role. Key Responsibilities: Processing and selecting orders assigned by the Stores Coordinator Kit issue parts to assemblies from stores/stock and from goods receipted in to stock both physically and via the company ERP system Ensuring shelves remain stocked at all times and are neat and tidy Performing Forklift and Electric Pallet truck duties for loading and unloading of racks and vehicles Ensuring the packaging of goods for shipping are done effectively and in a timely manner Delivering of orders to the customer in a timely manner. This will be occasional and local deliveries only Taking delivery of all goods coming in, checking all parts are here and booking them into the companies ERP system Recording the delivery of purchased and delivered goods from external suppliers, following QC checks by Inspection Recording the delivery of goods from the Machine Shop, following QC checks by Inspection Producing and maintaining accurate records of Goods Received and Transmittal Notes Undertaking the operation of workshop cranes and forklifts as required and where training has been completed Work is of a physical nature, involving lifting and carrying, albeit supported by physical aids (Cranes and Forklifts etc.) and working with potentially dangerous machinery and tools. Qualifications/Skills and Experience: Educated to Standard Grade level or equivalent (essential) Demonstrable experience in a stores environment, or similar role (essential) Forklift Operator Certification e.g. Counter Balance Group B2 3-15 Tonne or previous experience (essential) Rigging, Slinging and Lifting Certificate (desirable) Full UK Driving Licence (essential) Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office Applications and ERP system, ideally Microsoft AX (essential) Good organisational skills (essential) Good team player who takes responsibility for own work and that of others (essential) Personal Qualities: Excellent communication (both written and oral), influencing and interpersonal skills High degree of commercial acumen Highly professional conduct Must be willing to travel and be able to spend time away from home Must have good time management and organisational skills ‘Can do’ attitude and eagerness to learn and help
