Overview

I am currently looking for a Lead IT Support Specialist to join a forward-thinking financial services company in Edinburgh. Working across the support function you will help deliver service excellence in user support office and call centre locations, VIP support and support for New Ways of Working. If you are passionate about IT and have supported technologies including VDI, SDI, Windows 10, Vmware Sharepoint/Intranet, Office 365, then this is the role for you. Key responsibilities include, - Provide service and operational excellence for Technology through the effective and efficient management of external suppliers and internal teams that meets agreed service levels and budgets. - Owning the resolution of significant incidents and problems; providing technical input to the resolution and recovery of normal operations. - Research and develop solutions that expand or enhance the service and technology portfolios, automate IT operations, reduce costs or increase levels of service - Initiating and setting up projects and programs related to Workplace Technology improvements - Identifying and assessing risks, and implementing countermeasures - Providing input to the Technical Design Authority, including drafting and submitting technical proposals, and reviewing progress to ensure they meet business needs In order to be successful in the role, candidate need to have - Deep Technical knowledge in the core Microsoft 365 technology stacks, including managing, administering and supporting the corporate tenants - Deep technical knowledge in Windows 10, Vmware, Citrix Xenapp/XenDesktop, SCCM, Group policy - Strong knowledge of Conditional access, Intune, autopilot - Strong knowledge of Video Conferencing solutions (Bluejeans, BT Engage, Microsoft Teams) - Strong knowledge of Enterprise Mobile solutions - Windows Desktop both in Virtual (Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, Moonshot) and Physical environment (Microsoft Surace pro/Laptop devices) - Proven experience in running the delivery and implementation and/or migration of Microsoft solutions - Ability to lead a project from start to finish - Excellent written and oral communication with ability to speak authoritatively at all levels If you would like to find out more, then please send across an up-to-date CV at your earliest convenience
