Overview
Are you an experienced payroll officer seeking a permanent position in Inverclyde with an exciting, expanding organisation? Then look no further. This position offers a competitive salary of £23,000 - £25,000 based on experience in excellent working conditions. Key responsibilities: You will administer, process and accurately compute employee salary, expenses and benefits on the in-house payroll system. You will comply with all relevant tax and compliance requirements of any payroll function to ensure the client's records are accurate and pay is made fully and on time. Furthermore, you will be expected to offer recommended process and system improvements that will allow for a more efficient operation – these recommendations are encouraged from members of staff of all levels and is a great way to demonstrate your understanding to the management structure. Previous experience: The successful candidate will be highly knowledgeable in the field of payroll, ideally with at least two years experience working with payroll systems. Hand-in-hand with this should be a sound knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, Tax Credits and any and all other possible payroll deductibles. The successful candidate should be computer literate, with the ability to work under pressure to deadlines and should be able to demonstrate skills of teamwork and attention to detail. You will be joining a close nit payroll team and so you should have a positive, enthusiastic approach to work.
