Overview
A leading international law firm is seeking a STEP qualified probate manager/probate solicitor to join its expanding Private Capital Team in Manchester. You will join the Private Client Department in a highly regarded Tier 1 Legal 500 firm. You will be part of a global law firm and handle caseloads of high net worth probate matters, dealing with high-value taxable estates often containing complex assets, private company shareholdings and overseas assets. Prior experience in this type of work is therefore essential. Your clients will range from landed multi-generational families, serial entrepreneurs, ultra and high-net-worth individuals, as well as international individuals and trustees of offshore trusts. You must be a qualified probate lawyer/private client solicitor with likely 4 years' PQE gained within a recognised Private Client Department. It is likely, therefore, that you will be currently working for a medium or large commercial law firm and have experience dealing with high net worth individuals. You will be encouraged to undertake business development activities to promote the department, so proven experience in building your own reputation would be ideal. You must be STEP-qualified or currently working towards this. You will also be commercially aware with an enthusiastic approach.
