Your role Reporting into the Balance Sheet Reporting Senior Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery of Balance Sheet reporting and controls for the Deloitte LLP group of companies Ensuring the integrity of the monthly, quarterly and annual balance sheet and supporting reconciliations Work alongside the firm’s Balance Sheet Reporting Senior Manager to review, challenge and substantiate balances held on the firm wide balance sheet Maximise control, reporting and insights on balance sheet reconciliations through the BlackLine reconciliation tool Oversee on a monthly basis the balance sheet reconciliations process for payroll, loans, company investments and fixed assets Work in conjunction with the statutory reporting team to provide appropriate audit evidence as per external auditor requirements Assist in the documentation and maintenance of the firms accounting and reconciliation policies Manage a small team within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution Your work, your choice At Deloitte we believe the best impact is the value we add, not the hours we sit at our desk. Work pattern: This is a permanent opportunity. The role can be worked on a full-time basis. Our team members work a variety of agile working patterns. Your professional experience Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Experience of balance sheet reconciliations and reporting Strong communications skills, with the ability to develop effective relationships with all levels across the business An ability to work effectively within the team as well as being able to work on own initiative Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines A proactive can-do attitude and the ability to challenge the status quo in a fast moving dynamic environment Experience with core Microsoft Office packages including advanced Microsoft Excel skills Working knowledge of SAP and BlackLine would be an advantage Experience of team management and development of junior staff would be an advantage Experience of working in a professional services organisation is preferred but not essential Your service line: Finance within Internal Services At Deloitte, we’re all about collaboration.
