Overview

Summary of Role: As a Senior developer you will work within the mission system software team, designing, developing, integrating and testing mission system software to support our fleet of ISR airborne platforms. You will also have opportunity to work on exciting internal R&D projects to support the next generation of ISR missions systems. You will actively collaborate with our customers to build technology solutions based on the .NET umbrella of technologies that will provide a critical role in the success of our armed forces in active operations. Candidate requirements Essential: Hands on software development experience Experience with C# and the .NET framework Experience of developing desktop applications for Microsoft Windows Competency with design patterns and their application to solve complex problems Eligible for or Holder of current SC security clearance (Raytheon UK will sponsor as required). Desirable: Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) & XAML, MVVM Akka.NET or similar message driven architectures SQL & SQL Server, PostgreSQL ArcGIS or similar mapping/geospatial frameworks (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Runtime, ArcGIS Server). Recent experience of working within an agile development team using Scrum, Kanban or similar. Unit test frameworks & test automation (TDD, BDD, UI automation) Continuous Integration & Delivery SOLID principles C++/Visual Basic/MFC/COM Key Behaviours: Able to communicate software concepts and design in verbal, written and presentational forms. Build and maintain rapport with customer base to ensure requirements are fully understood and potential solutions are articulated effectively. Strong attention to detail.
