Overview

As a Care Assistant in Cardiff and the surrounding areas, you will ensure that our service users get the support they need to live their lives to the fullest. You'll play an integral role in a supportive team to assist with personal care, clinical needs, social activities and any additional services needed. As a Support Worker, your duties will involve delivering person-centred care to service users, in line with their care plan.You'll need to have a real awareness of their emotional, social and physical needs and get involved with day-to-day tasks such as shopping, cooking, eating and getting dressed. About you You'll be an empathetic and compassionate caregiver, with a minimum of 3 months of experience, a valid certificate in Moving and Handling, and the right to live and work in the UK. You'll be fuelled by your desire to make a real difference to the lives of people in need. To be successful in the recruitment process, you must already be registered with Social Care Wales to practice in a residential home for children and young people in Wales (mandatory registration introduced 1 March 2008).
