MECHANICAL FIELD ENGINEER - GROWING BUSINESS WITH EXCELLENT SCOPE FOR CAREER PROGRESSION Our national client specialises in the mechanical and industrial engineering sector and are widely recognised as being market leaders within their field of expertise. They now require a Mechanical Field Engineer who will be responsible for the maintenance of commercial and industrial equipment. The role is home based, and the successful candidate will be provided with a company vehicle to fulfil client visits in the local area and further afield. Most of the work is commutable within the same day and occasional requirements to stay overnight are planned well in advance with at least 3 weeks' notice. On offer is a generous basic salary along with plenty of opportunity for overtime. JOB DESCRIPTION Preparation of steam and hot water boilers for annual insurance inspections Overhaul of fixtures and fittings Removal and installation of refractory Preparation for non-destructive testing Cleaning of boiler tubes Providing technical support to customers and colleagues Providing customers with regular reports and feedback on their service requests, including the completion of relevant paperwork Developing and maintaining relationships with customers Ensuring compliance with the companies' health and safety, quality and environmental procedures PERSON SPECIFICATION Field based mechanical engineering experience Hot water or steam boiler experience would be useful but not essential Previous experience of working to health and safety requirements Willingness to work away from home occasionally with notice Full UK driving licence JS Recruitment UK Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
