Overview
Senior software engineer / Full stack JavaScript developer (jQuery, Node.js, Express framework, HTML, CSS) My client is a global end user organisation looking to expand its UK development team due to demand from business growth. Seeking an experienced software developer with a strong understanding of JavaScript and full stack development with a good knowledge of HTML, CSS, jQuery and Node.js/express framework. You will be responsible for providing development support to internal and offshore development teams, working on the day to day development of my client's international eCommerce sites. You will work closely with the development team and digital architect to develop future proof solutions. Working closely with internal QA and testing teams and responsible for code reviews. This role requires good programming skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript / jQuery and the express framework. You will also deliver backend activities and integration with 3rd party systems. Knowledge of versioning systems such as GIT, exposure to working in a scrum / Agile environment would also be beneficial. Some knowledge of eCommerce platforms would be highly desirable and commercial experience with a transactional site. My client offers some flexibility with working from home with great progression opportunities within their global organization.
