Overview

Riverside have a new opportunity for a Support Worker, working full-time, on a permanent basis. You will earn £21,451 per year. You will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Sunday on a rota basis. Who you’ll be helping Based in Manchester, Wilson Carlile House works with males aged 18 who are homeless and experiencing a housing related crisis and need short term housing related support. Our customer group includes adults who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless including; • People leaving prison, • People who may be sleeping rough, • People with a range of medium to high support needs who are not currently able to maintain independent living While Riverside does have roles for carers, this is a role perfect for those looking for support work. What will you do? You will be required to plan and deliver a range of personalised support to customers, working with individuals and empowering them to achieve their goals and aspirations. You will work as part of a staff team committed to delivering excellent customer focused support in a supported housing environment. Day to day Your key responsibilities as a Wilson Carlile House Support Worker will include: • Work as part of a staff team to deliver a high standard of service to our customers and meet the requirements of a rota system. • Adopt a psychologically informed approach to delivering support, empowering customers to have choice and control and to drive the support they receive. • Contribute to the delivery of a housing management service, including working with tenancy agreements and collecting rents and service charges. • Ensure records and files are accurate and are regularly updated and held securely. • Lead on communicating and working with external agencies on behalf of customers, as necessary and appropriate. You have an understanding of the barriers faced by vulnerable customer groups and experience of working with individuals with complex needs.
