Overview

One of the UK’s leading Civil Engineering companies are looking to expand their Health & Safety department due to an increase in workload in their power division. Currently seeking an experienced SHEQ Advisor to oversee live substation construction projects within the M25 area. Key Essentials: Ensuring that company systems and processes and complied with via regular site inspections and CDM audits Ensure that all sites are compliant to CDM Regulations with all required documentation Monitoring the relevant areas of work for SHE compliance and bringing significant findings to the attention of the Construction Manager and SHEQ Manager Implementing effective systems to develop a positive safety culture Develop and implement best practice, ensuring that the company complies with SHEQ legislation and codes of practice Advising and assisting operational staff on SHEQ matters Developing improved relationships with clients Requirements: Qualified with NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) Previous experience as a SHEQ Advisor in the utilities / construction industry Experience working on live substation construction projects for National Grid or Distribution Networks National Grid BESC and/or Persons qualified A good understanding of CDM Regulations Health Safety Quality Environmental SHEQ SHE Audit HSE NEBOSH NRSWA IOSH Utilities Utility Excavation IncidentReport AccidentReport CDM Water Gas Power Telecom CDM HV LV substation nationalgrid dno distributionnetwork construction BESC
