Overview
We are currently looking for a Senior Data Warehouse Developer for our Client to be based at Lincoln with some remote working. Our client are a local Public Organisation. Fixed term period: This will be for 4-5 months Salary:£44,606 - £50,819 p a [ To be calculated on pro rata basis ] Job Summary: The Senior Data Warehouse Developer will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the organisation for all Business Intelligence Software. Key areas of expertise will be SQL Server database development, PowerBI and the .NET Framework. The role will be to ensure as much automation as possible for the reporting across the organisation. This will include the capture of information, secure storage, analysis, and reporting. You will also provide technical support in the development, analysis, interpretation and presentation of data for internal managerial and clinical staff, and externally to meet national requirements. In addition the post holder will be accountable for all locally stored data in the Data Warehouse, ensuring high level Data Security and good governance. The Senior Data Warehouse Developer will line manage a Performance and Information Analyst and provide advice and training to develop them. Between the two roles they should provide advice and training to the Finance and Performance & Information team on analysis of the data, educating them to use Power BI to its potential. PERSON SPECIFICATION To be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience in Informatics/Programming. Use of a Programming Languages (SQL, .NET, Visual Basic etc.) Expert in SQL Server Database Development In-depth knowledge of Business Intelligence systems acquired through a combination of specialist training and relevant study to Master’s degree or equivalent level Use of a Programming Languages (SQL, .NET, Visual Basic etc.) Good knowledge of PowerBI Expert in SQL Server Database Development Knowledge of information presentation principles and techniques including tabulation and graphical presentation, preferably including PowerBI.
