Software Development Team Lead

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Software Development Team Lead on behalf of one of the UK’s most advanced tech e-retailers in the UK. Based in their Lancashire engineering hub, I’m looking for a Software Development Team Lead who will lead the web squad, and be responsible for the delivery of high-end solutions with quality and scalability in mind. PERSON: With extensive technical and leadership skills, you will build and lead a strong cross-functional outcome-oriented delivery team of engineers, working side-by-side with your team and contributing hands-on to projects. You will be a strong advocate for great engineering practises and enjoy teaching these to your team. You’ll be an avid believer in DevOps principles, especially "The Three Ways". The role would suit someone who wants to make the step up from Senior Software Engineer (or is already fulfilling a Tech Lead/Team Lead role) and enjoys the tech side of the role more than the team leadership (HR, Holidays, Paperwork etc.) TECHNICAL: · C# / .NET Core · AWS (Lambda, etc), Kafka · Front end technologies: e.g React or Angular · Docker / Kubernetes A BIT MORE ON THE COMPANY / ROLE: Since their inception, the company have placed tech and innovation at the forefront of their growth plans and this new squad is going to be responsible for transforming the shopper experience (huge challenge/high profile/game changer). The tech team have recently moved to a more product led engineering function, drive engineering excellence through CI/CD, foster a culture of continual learning & development and are highly passionate about a Cloud first approach.
