Mechanical Design Engineer Chester £30,000 - £40,000 The role is within a tier 1 automotive business who are looking to expand their engineering design team. Responsibility Designing highly engineered products Software - Solidwords and Autocad FEA · An understanding and some knowledge of the following Designing to high tolerance Designing within Solidworks and Autocad Work packages encompass varying project stages from concept through to detail design and will include requirement for construction support Ability to work in a multi discipline organisation and work in a collaborative environment Ability to work in a team or alone, comfortable to liaise with client representatives. Ability to identify innovative solutions and embrace emerging technology. Responsible for man-hour and progress reporting on project work allocated. The position will report to the Senior Mechanical Engineer and Engineering and Design Department Group Design Manager. Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Extensive experience (at least 5 years) in a relevant design role and delivery of mechanical designs within projects within highly engineered products (Automotive experience advantageous).
