Overview
Data Propositions Manager A leading financial organisation are looking for a Data Propositions Manager to ensure our data strategy requirements and standards are adapted in BAU delivery (discretionary, mandatory, enhancement) by providing them as requirements as a "proposition manager". The role holder will also monitor the success of the roll out of global policy and standards, measure the maturity of our data estate and to show case the value generation from data initiatives. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate needs to understand complex business and data issues and will be expected to interact with all levels of the business and technology communities to put forward ideas and to seek approval from stakeholders. Responsibilities include: Data Strategy & Standards Implementation Developing a high-level understanding of our data coverage, limitations and business pain points Own policies and standards from Global Standards as a product Work with our data analysts to translate standards into user stories that are relevant to the specific projects for implementation Assume the role of Proposition Owner within projects to provide requirements, guidance on priority Driving & reviewing the quality of the outputs by providing guidance to the dev and QA team on key acceptance criteria Providing requirements and inputs to quality & risk management initiatives to help enhance the overall data agenda Maintain the proposition roadmap and work with portfolio managers and platform owners to identify funding and suitable delivery channels Monitor and measure the success of value creation and to refine the proposition roadmap to maximise ROI Data Proposition Development As of when the overall data strategy matures or when the opportunity arises: Working business, ops and technology stakeholders to create a data proposition roadmap that align to business priorities and group data strategy. Examples of propositions may include, but not limited to: Data acquisition & enhancement - increasing coverage and depth to generate new business intelligence or customer reporting Reporting capability - creating a capability that is catered to business needs and scalable Analytics - identifying use cases where new business insights can be drawn from data to provide actionable intelligence to facilitate decision making and to generate new revenues Introducing the latest & innovative industry best practices and products that can support the growth of our data propositions, such as Machine Learning Supporting business and technology stakeholders in understanding data opportunities and act as a SME by providing ideas and through leadership Interact & work with third party partners and suppliers as required Data Strategy SME the role holder will be a data strategy SME within GWPI - this means the technology community will be able to engage with the role holder for guidance and support. Experience and Qualifications Required Data Proposition Development : Experience in developing data centric products such as reporting capability and analytics use cases D ata Management Knowledge : experience in Data Management, including Data Quality and Data Governance principles, in order to developing global standards, and drive progress towards vision Business Analysis: the role holder will be familiar in using different business analysis techniques (interviews, data analysis, workshops) to gather requirements from a variety of stakeholders (Business, Ops, Tech, Compliance) to create high level requirements and epics Project management experience: experience working within an Agile delivery framework. Ability to demonstrate skills in being able to define MVP, milestones, priorities and feature roadmap. General Data Strategy Knowledge : consultancy or industry experience relating to data strategy development and / or the components that are being considered in our strategy roadmap (e.g. data policy & standards, data culture, ToM and processes, tools and enablers, analytic capability, master data management, metadata management, data quality).
