Job Summary Job Title: Waking Night Support Worker Location: Ashford Lodge – Canterbury, CT4 8DU Hours: 35 hours per week Salary: £8.80 per hour Information: This role is night work. If this sounds great to you… Then you’re just what we’re looking for and we’d like to hear from you What do our Support Workers do? Supporting someone isn’t just personal care; it’s so much more. Our services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and many of the people we support require support during the night. You will be expected to ensure people are supported to gain a good night’s sleep, monitoring any concerns in relation to disturbed sleep patterns and follow relevant support plans designed to promote sleep and wellbeing. You will focus on ensuring the environment at night is safe and contributes to ensuring people are comfortable at night. Your shifts will be allocated on a rota basis, and will include weekends and bank holidays as required. What experience do you need? You don’t need to have experience to be a good Support Worker. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you. You’ll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Math is also required.
