Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Ashfield District Council for a CCTV & Community Protection Team Manager to join our team. You will be based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield and will join us on a full time, permanent basis. In return, as our CCTV & Community Protection Team Manager we will offer you a competitive salary of £31,371 - £33,799 per annum, plus casual car user payment as necessary. The role The Council is recruiting a highly motivated and enthusiastic CCTV & Community Protection Team Manager who is responsible for the direct management and leadership of the Council’s Community Protection Officers and the Council’s CCTV system. What will you be doing as our CCTV & Community Protection Team Manager? You will be responsible for ensuring the Council delivers an effective and highly performing Community Protection Service in order to secure positive outcomes for Ashfield residents and our communities. The role includes managing the day-to-day service and performance of Community Protection officers and undertaking operational on-street uniformed patrols and supervision. You will ensure service requests are allocated with appropriate follow up, proactive high visibility patrols are taking place in hotspot areas and arrange activities focused upon addressing location specific problems. Our ideal CCTV & Community Protection Team Manager: You will need to be highly organised and able to build positive relationships with multiple stakeholders. You will need excellent ICT skills an ability to manage demands and prioritise workloads and have effective management and leadership skills. Detailed knowledge of legislation and enforcement tools and interventions relating to anti-social behaviour, statutory nuisance and environmental issues as well as knowledge of evidence gathering standards including PACE standards are essential.
