Internal Sales Engineer

This could be the role for you… Our clients typical process involves technical sales engineering and layout conceptualisation, alongside quote generation. The proposals role works closely with the concept draughting person as well as their technical sales team. The proposals role has a core element of: Monitoring account activity while connected to the sales team. Logging enquiries and their activity status. Receive the proposals brief from technical sales. Using an excel based quote template to generate the quote specific to the enquiry needs using suitable and/or technical sales nominated selections from the internally controlled price-book. Initiative to work with our established supplier network to meet bespoke needs. To author the final quotation and present to the technical sales lead. Clearly and effectively communicate throughout the process. Maintain the accuracy of the costs within the price-book spreadsheet / quote template. Responsible for Creation & circulation of BOM's Communicate with the supply chain Preparing presentations using Powerpoint The Candidate: To be eloquent and professional in communicating internally, with partners and on some occasions, the customer. Enthusiastic and self-motivated The ability to determine priorities with a positive work ethic - must do/can do. IT literate in particular with excel and MS PowerPoint. Ideally with a background in Engineering/Fabrication or similar Methodical and Logical Suitable candidates for this role may have previously worked as an Internal Sales Engineer, a Project Engineer looking to take a side step from a hands on role, an Estimator, a Proposals or Contracts Administrator The hours for this role are Mon - Fri 08:30 - 17:00 with an hour for lunch 20 days holiday Jan-Dec plus 1 day for each year served to maximum 26 public holidays Travel expenses covered by the company BUPA after qualifying period Company contributory pension scheme Other working tools such as Mobile Phone, note-book computer where required Paid overtime when required This position is based just outside of Peterborough and is commutable from Stamford, Hampton, Market Deeping, Spalding, Wisbech, Grantham, Corby.
