Role: Positive Behavioural Support Worker Location: Warlingham, Croydon Salary: £18,600 - £19,800 Shifts: Earlies, lates and night shifts (full time) 39 hours per week About us: We are passionate about supporting people with complex needs or challenging behaviours and enabling them to achieve their personal best in life. Due to this we are highly regarded as specialists in the social care industry Where Will I Be Working? We are searching for influencing individuals to come and work in our brand new service in Warlingham. There are 4 flats in which we support people with Autism and Learning Disabilities with behaviours that can be complex and challenging. We strive to re-connect our service users within the local community where-by some have previously had long-term stays in hospitals. What will I be doing? Positive behaviour support is a behaviour management system used to understand what maintains an individual's challenging behaviour. This means creating physical and social environments that are supportive and teaching our service users new skills to replace the behaviours that are challenging. In a nut-shell you will be supporting our clients with personal care and everyday activities in and around the community and their flats using positive behavioural support approaches. This involves understanding why our residents behave in a complex way and helping them to learn new skills on how to replace these behaviours. Why Work For Us?
