Overview
Valorum Care has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Care Team Leader in our beautiful Westmead home in Braunton. We believe in giving the best possible care to our customers and you could be a huge part in that. Your main responsibilities as a Care Team Leader are the day to day management of the team, leading by example. We expect you: To ensure the effective operation of the staff key worker system To organise and manage the rostering process so that enough staff are always provided in accordance with the requirements of customers To provide practical induction training to new staff and promote on-going staff development through personal reviews, regular supervisions, annual appraisal, competency assessments and team meetings To work in partnership with customers, encouraging choice, participation, motivation and risk taking To ensure any incidents or events that may have an impact on the customer’s PCP are reported and recorded, liaising with the immediate supervisor (and/or any other relevant staff) as appropriate To be considered for this role we would like to see a fun, positive attitude towards getting stuck in to any and all tasks and: Any relevant qualifications or your interest in working towards them Prior experience of working in a relevant care setting Prior experience of supervising a team of staff Prior experience of working with people with disabilities To be able to work flexibly within rostered hours and be prepared to participate in an on-call rota if required by the respective service Along with the extremely competitive salary, stunning location and fantastic working culture, we also offer: Maximum 12-hour shift patterns Competitive salary Paid lunch break and meals NVQ or equivalent training schemes At Valorum we believe in providing the best possible care for our customers.
