Type: Permanent Role: Software Engineer Sector: Defence Package: £45-55k excellent benefits Great opportunities for Software Engineer's looking to work for a company at the cutting edge of defence technology. The company is a world leader in the development, manufacture and supply of defence & security related systems and a leading SME (with circa 180 staff) specialising in areas such as UAVs, radars, navigation, security & surveillance systems. Key requirements:- (note experience in some not all of these is required) A good knowledge of C++ A good knowledge of Qt Creator A good knowledge of the Qt framework A good knowledge of QML and Qt Quick A good knowledge of Open GL/Graphics programming A good knowledge of GLSL (Open GL Shader Language) Knowledge of module testing using Qt Test Knowledge of other programming languages Good communication skills Willingness to occasionally travel to visit and sail with ships in the UK and abroad. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE: Practical experience of using C++ Practical experience developing Qt based applications using Qt Creator Practical experience of development on Linux for Linux or Android target systems Practical experience of developing Module tests using QtTest or experience of similar automated test systems Practical experience of writing software for PCs running Windows and Linux would be useful Package / benefits:- Salary £45-55k (Note this is negotiable depending on experience). 8% pension.
