New opportunity has arisen to join our client in Didcot as an Accounts Assistant/ Bookkeeper, joining a well established and growing local business. You will be working for a fantastic employer that boats excellent customer service reputations and are highly regarded within their industry. This organisation operates within the wholesale of engineering equipment and is a family run business since the mid to late 1970s. As an Accounts Assistant your salary will be £24,000 per annum and it is essential that you have current/previous experience of purchase/sales ledgers, bookkeeping, payroll and ideally SagePay You will be responsible for managing all areas of the accounts and support the Finance Manager to ensure smooth running within the department. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Processing of sales and purchase invoices Manage sales and purchase ledger Monitor and manage credit control Monitor online payments on SagePay and Paypal Raise credits when necessary Keep up to date with the Accounts email box Balance off card receipts from trade counter sales Setting up new customers on Sage Sending out customer statements To reconcile Bank Accounts Checking supplier statements and paying them Sending out any remittances VAT Return Skills, Experience & Key Attributes: Accurate and high attention to detail Team player, who is also able to work using their own initiative Good communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels Experience using Sage 50, SagePay & Paypal Experience using MS Office - Excel, Word and Outlook Experience in a similar role Good level of IT Skills
